The new International Rocky Point airport is now taking flights. This is big news for the future growth of Puerto Penasco, aka Rocky Point. Aero Mexico announced on Wednesday October 24th that beginning October 30th, it would offer direct flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Puerto Penasco in the Mexican state of Sonora. The cost will be $260 plus tax for roundtrip airfare and will take approximately two hours from Los Angeles. Direct flights will depart LAX on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. More and more the Southern California market is getting quicker and easier access to travel to Rocky Point. This is the first of many carriers to jump on board the growth in Puerto Penasco. This will enable people to make more Rocky Point Reservations at their favorite Rocky Point resort. As we learn of more carriers to jump on board, we will post them in our news section.
