If you are heading down to Rocky Point in June or thinking of going, there are a few Rocky Point events going on that might enhance your time down there.

For starters, early June brings the OTL (Over the Line) Softball tournament.  This tournament is played on sand fields on the beach.  The event runs June 9th and 10th with check-in starting as early as Friday June 8th.  There is a Mens and Womens division, round robin and single elimination formats.  Trophies are given for the winners and T-shirts are provided.  Check-in is at JJ's and the entry form can be found here.  Come out and play or just watch the action and enjoy a few beverages.

For the Rocky Point fishing enthusiasts, June marks the 2nd phase of the Angler of the Year presented by JJ's Cantina.  This fishing competition takes place June 22, 23, and 24th and is a three phase event, with the final phase coming in October.  There will be prizes and trophies awarded, with many different types of fish appearing on the prize eligible list.  You can view the entry form here.  For more information on these two events please contact the folks at JJ's Cantina.
